Technical Feasibility Study of Reclaimer Installation

Project Brief: technical feasibility of urgency of a project, to choose most appropriate technology adoption, standard requirements for project justification, evaluation of various alternative approaches, and basic configuration to lead cost effective projects to install reclaimer in a area.

Technical Concept of Kiln Off Gas Utilization​

Project Brief: Utilize off-gas kiln to dry coal in the coal mill, with the target to reduce the risk of explosion in the coal mill while improving energy efficiency by substituting hot gas generated by HGG.

  1. Keep low oxygen concentration at gas mill inlet <12%. (<5% is highly recommended)
  2. Keep the oxygen limit 2% below the technical limit < 12% i.e 10% oxygen after bag house

    1. ILC with < 2 s retention time, limited potential for solid AFR
    2. SLC with limited potential for solid AFR, risk of TA-duct blockage

    1. Calciner orifice velocity <25 m/s
    2. Gas residence time ~3 s
    3. High kiln feed / coal feed fluctuations (N1) lowers the AFR potential
  • High chlorine input via BBS (liquid AF), 2% Cl
